Water-Water High-Temperature Heat Pump
HYDRYA HHP
with natural refrigerant

THE TEMPERATURE BOOSTER

heating at a high level

Our high-temperature heat pump is the ideal choice for achieving high supply temperatures and ensuring an efficient heating system. This makes it suitable for existing buildings as well as commercial and industrial applications.

Multimachine

MODULAR TO MATCH THE REQUIRED OUTPUT

Whether as a standalone unit or a multi-unit system, our high-temperature heat pump meets the requirement for delivering high supply temperatures of up to 110 °C – with waste heat often serving as the energy source.

The combination with an upstream air-to-water heat pump or a water-cooled chiller from our product portfolio is also a practical solution. This combination is also known as a booster system.

Waste heat becomes

process heat

Rising energy costs and ambitious CO₂ reduction targets are putting increasing pressure on industry to provide process heat more efficiently and sustainably. At the same time, the decarbonization of industrial processes is gaining strategic importance in order to ensure long-term competitiveness and security of supply.

High-temperature heat pumps are a key enabling technology, as they recover and upgrade available waste heat into reliable process heat at high temperature levels. For industrial companies and process operators, this means lower emissions, reduced operating costs, and a future-ready pathway for transforming industrial heat supply.

Process Decarbonization

Replace fossil fuels with efficient heat pump technology and sustainably reduce the carbon footprint of industrial processes.

Energy Efficiency

High COP and TER values ensure maximum efficiency: multiple units of useful heat are generated from a single unit of electricity.

Risk mitigation

Reducing external energy demand by utilizing available waste heat decreases dependence on energy markets and minimizes economic risks.

End-to-End Support

Our in-house plant engineering, service, and engineering teams support your project from initial requirements through to the end of the product lifecycle—all from a single source.

TECHNICAL

SPECIFICATIONS

The YANMAR high-temperature heat pump provides heating with supply temperatures of up to 110 °C, and heating capacities ranging from 40 kW to 830 kW, precisely engineered for each operating point.

EFFICIENCY AND CAPACITY

ACROSS THE OPERATING RANGE

The operating point has a significant influence on the achievable efficiency and capacity. In particular, the temperature difference between the heat source and the heat sink has a major impact on system performance. As a result, the same unit can deliver different capacity and efficiency values depending on the operating point.

The color scale in the diagram below illustrates the performance characteristics across the operating range.

PRACTICAL

INTEGRATION EXAMPLES

To provide reliable guidance across this operating range, representative integration examples for operating the high-temperature heat pump are presented, including the achievable capacities and efficiency levels for each case. Typical applications include breweries and the dairy industry, among others.
